USA Softball of GA State Umpire Meeting Update
USA Softball of Georgia will be holding it’s annual meeting Saturday, January 27, 2018.
The meeting will be at:
DoubleTree Hotel, Northlake Mall
4156 LaVista Road Atlanta GA 30084
Registration will begin at 8:30 am.
The clinic will begin at 9:00 am.
This years speakers will include Jimmy Derrick USA Softball Region UIC and Hall of Fame Inductee, Rick Hearn USA Softball of Georgia State UIC and other State Staff . Barry Sullivan, the State Uniform Sales Rep will be on site for uniform purchases. We will review the year 2017 and look forward to 2018. We will go over 2018 rule changes, 2017 National Tournament Evaluations, 2018 National Qualifier Tournaments, the Olympic Tournament Series. There will be sessions on case plays and rules knowledge as well as umpire mechanics. We will honor our 2017 award recipients for Zone and State Umpire of the Year, as well as induct two people in to the USA Softball of Georgia Hall of Honor. We also have a few National awards to present. We will close at 1:00.
Registration is $10.00 at the door. This meeting counts towards paper qualification for Nationals.
