J.O. Commissioner August 2017 Update

With the end of the season here I just want to present you with a few matters of importance.

1.  12U All American Team – The team representing Georgia will be leaving Thursday, August 17 to compete in the prestigious USA Softball 12U All-American event to be held August 18 – 20 at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.  The final roster of 15 and 5 alternates selected to will represent Georgia are; Carson Hobbs, Lily Backes, Brianna Deleon, Haliegh Cianchettie, Gracyn Tucker, Kyla Stroud, Avery Kinnett, Lael Ayala, Taylor Malvin, Taylor Anderson, Kayleigh Ammons, Paris Kirby,Saylor McNeamey, Sarah Morton, Tyler Ellison. Atlernates; Quincy Prichard, Sophie Baker, Makayla Coffield, Madison Moreland, Katelyn Johntosn.  Congrats to all these girls.

2.  Keep in mind that the USASB of GA registration cycle is September 1 through August 31. As such, the “Register USA” web site will be down August 29 -31 to prepare for the new registration cycle. When contacting me about roster changes, info, registration, etc. please provide your 6-digit Team ID#.

3.  USASB of GA had (29) teams representing Georgia the 2017 USASB National Championships. The following is a list of those teams who finished in the top 20 at their respective tournament:

Congrats to all these teams and all those who played in the USASB Championships.

5. USA Softball Elite Camp – USASB of GA was represented in this inaugural event for 2019 & 2020 high school graduates by Aniston Wright, Kailyn Berry, and Claire Carson.  The three spend five days in Orlando training with top level college players and coaches.

6.  2018 USASB of GA News – We will be releasing our plans for the 2017 Fall and 2018 Spring/Summer season in early September. I’ll have more details in the September “Update”.  Thank you for your continued support of USA Softball.

7.  TEAM USA – Team USA will be coming to Georgia in the fall of 2019.  This event will be sponsored by USASB of GA and will include clinics and games for all those in attendance.  We will send out more information as the date is finalized.
