USA Softball of Georgia 12U All American Team Update

An open tryout for the USA SB of GA 12U All American Team was held at Twin Creeks Park on Sunday, May 7.  More than 85 girls registered for the tryout and 73 participated in the four-hour process.  J.O. Commissioner, Ernie Yarbrough reported “This far exceeded what we were expecting, but it validates the high level of enthusiasm for this game in our state”.

Coach Ernie added, “It was exciting to watch these young players putting their best effort forward toward reaching a goal.  Sadly we can only select 15 players to represent Georgia in Oklahoma City in August.”

The team will be lead by Co-Head Coaches Jessica Williams-Sweat and her twin sister Amanda Williams-Paz.  Assistant coaches are McKenzie Woody, Jose Tunon, and Chris Backes.
