USA Softball of GA Announces 12U All-American Team Coaching Staff

USA Softball of Georgia is excited to announce the coaching staff of the soon to be selected 12U USA SB of GA All-American team. Jessica Williams-Sweat and Amanda Williams-Paz will lead the team as Co-Head Coaches. Rounding out the staff will be McKenzie Woody, Chris Backes and Jose Tunon.

State J.O. Commissioner, Ernie Yarbrough expressed his excitement by saying “We are very fortunate to have this staff of highly successful people leading our team in Oklahoma City.” He added, “Having the Williams sisters is a huge bonus. They grew up in the Georgia travel ball community, then went on to successful college careers at Marshall University”. He added, “McKenzie is a former 4-time NCAA D1 regional All American at Mercer University and Chris and Jose are respected coaches in the Georgia travel ball community.”

The inaugural USA Softball 12U All-American event will be held in Hall of Fame Stadium in OKC August 18-20 and will be brining in teams from across the country. More than 70 hopefuls attended the open tryout Sunday, May 7 at Twin Creeks Park  in Woodstock.

USA SB of GA is pleased to announce that Jessica Williams-Sweat has accepted the position as Head Coach. She will be assisted by her twin sister Amanda Williams-Paz, Chris Backes, and Jose Tunon.

A final tryout will be held June 18 at Al Bishop Park in Marietta.
